Port of NY/NJ posts record volumes in April

American Shipper: "   The port said its share of total U.S. containerized cargo slipped to 14.8 percent in the first four months of 2017, compared with 15.5 percent in the first four months of 2016. But it may have a chance to gain market share once again with larger ships now able to call container terminals in Newark and Elizabeth New Jersey and Staten Island because of the removal of the lower deck of the Bayonne Bridge."
