Bayonne Bridge to be open most weekends until January

SILive.com: "This weekend, the Bayonne Bridge will close at 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, and will reopen at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, according to Coleman.

"After next weekend, there are no more weekend closures anticipated through the end of this year," he said.

"Beginning next month, due to the contractor's progress and upcoming holidays and winter season, Monday through Thursday overnight closures will be suspended until early spring 2018," he added."

Officials Consider Building Aerial Gondola System Between NY & NJ

CBS New York: "The Staten Island Economic Development Corporation is calling for a nearly two mile-long system with gondolas that are somewhat smaller than the Roosevelt Island trams. They would rise 500 feet above the Kill Van Kull and run adjacent to the Bayonne Bridge."

Bayonne Bridge to stay open for long holiday weekend

NJ.com: "The bridge will be closed from midnight tonight until 8 a.m. Saturday, and then remain open until 7 p.m. Monday, Columbus Day. Next week, the bridge will be closed during the overnight hours from Oct. 9-12, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning."
