SBOANJ: "A new off-track wagering site in Bayonne that opened on Tuesday is expected to do for New Jersey what Yonkers Raceway has done for New York — attract gambling dollars from a neighboring state.
“We see Staten Island as the biggest market for us to capitalize on,” Meadowlands Racetrack spokeswoman Amy Silver said before the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the $18 million site on Route 440, about a mile from the Bayonne Bridge. “We know from our rewards program that we have a strong pool of players there.”"
