HMM to deploy larger ships on trans-Pacific service calling US East Coast

JOC.Com: "These newbuilds are particularly noteworthy in that their air draft — the space between the top of a ship’s bridge and an object such as a bridge or crane — should allow them to transit under the Bayonne Bridge, according to industry analyst Alphaliner. The bridge prevents most mega-ships from reaching the majority of container terminals in the Port of New York and New Jersey, but the port is currently working to the lift the bridge so larger ships can fully access the port, and that work is expected to wrap up in 2017."
