Getting your way around Staten Island via mass transit

SILive.com: "New Jersey Transit's Hudson-Bergen Light Rail opened in the spring of 2000 and the closest station to the Island is at 8th Street in Bayonne, a five-minute, drive from the Bayonne Bridge, which is undergoing a massive reconstruction project.

Or, Islanders can board the MTA's limited-run S89 line along Richmond Avenue during weekday rush hours only, go over the Bayonne Bridge and get off at the first stop, the 34th Street Hudson-Bergen station. Construction delays may interrupt service, so it's best to check the MTA website for advisories."
